The Guilford A Better Chance program is part of a national organization dedicated to furthering the educational opportunities for minority students.

The Guilford program provides for up to six young women who live in a residence owned by the program and who attend the local high school.

The program is a tax-exempt entity, supported financially by profits from the Hole in the Wall Consignment Shop, donations to the annual fund, and several fund-raising events, including the Secret Garden Tour.
