will allow us to continue providing exceptional educational opportunities and life experiences for talented
young women of color, including our current scholars: Irene, Jazhira, Katie, Kyra, and Tamojah.

Guilford A Better Chance offers intelligent and talented young women of color from under-represented communities the opportunity to attend a high quality public high school and a preparatory college-track program.

Guilford A Better Chance provides an environment with a strong support system within the community for these young scholars to:

• explore their interests

• develop their strengths and

• benefit from unique educational opportunities

It is true that it takes a village to raise a child. Guilford ABC’s volunteer board, staff, host families, faculty at GHS, town merchants and service providers all contribute to making this program possible. In turn, our scholars add immeasurably to the quality and diversity of life in this very special community.
